Description

The cone screw mixer is well established in the pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals sectors. The gentle mixing action using low shear agitation results in minimal mechanical product stress and is therefore particularly suitable for homogenising sensitive bulk powders.

Mixing principle

BOLZ-SUMMIX conical screw mixers and dryers work according to the proven principle of a rotating mixing screw, driven by means of a rotating swivel arm and constantly guided along the wall of the conical container at a close distance.

Cleaning & safety

Many products mixed or homogenised in a conical screw dryer must fulfil certain quality criteria before they can be further utilised. Many products can no longer fulfil these criteria once they have been processed in a mixer that has not been hygienically cleaned.
